The Annexe comprises kitchen, dining/lounge, through single bedroom, shower/cloakroom and upstairs twin bedroom. We also have a superb oak conservatory overlooking the stream which makes a lovely sunroom by day, and star & bat watching area by night. It has underfloor heating, and makes an ideal retreat for any time of the year. All rooms are furnished to a high standard, with linen, towels, heating and lighting included. All bedding is natural, thus eliminating polycotton and other plastic based fibres for your absolute comfort.
You also have use of separate laundry facilities and a lockable cycle store.
The Central Heating is by means of a modern condensing boiler, all radiators having controllable thermostats, and the shower is of a high specification. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave and gas cooker. You have your own lawned garden area, ample car park/ hardstanding, and patio area overlooking the stream and hillside.
All wooden floored areas are proper wood, whilst quarry tiles are proper antique quarries. Both bedrooms are carpeted.
Amenities
We provide a smoke-free environment (the smoke detectors are very sensitive!), plenty of books, games, puzzles and radio/CD player. We have chosen not to provide a television, so your peace and quiet is guaranteed!
There are also maps, tourist information leaflets for the area, and free sheets of wonderful local walks devised by us to take you straight from the door.
Please note that the Annexe is unsuitable for young children and dogs.
Guest Services
Newspapers and milk are delivered regularly to the door; Riverford Organics deliver weekly. The nearest shopping centre is three miles. Our water is excellent to drink (it's Ashbourne water without the plastic bottle!), so there's no need to bring your own.
For disabled guests, we can meet certain standards. Please enquire for special needs. Please note that the naturally hilly terrain of the immediate area may affect some disabilities. We have a comprehensive Access Statement, a copy of which will be sent to you upon request.
